A newly released photograph from the Jeffrey Epstein case files shows the late British physicist Stephen Hawking posing with two women in swimwear.
The image was part of a massive document release by the U.S. Department of Justice this month. While the specific date and location of the photo were not provided, Hawking is known to have visited Epstein’s Little Saint James island in 2006 for a legitimate physics conference alongside 20 other scientists.
Although Hawking’s name appears approximately 250 times in the records, being mentioned in the files does not constitute an accusation of illegal activity, and the scientist was never charged with any crime.
One notable entry includes a 2015 email from Epstein to Ghislaine Maxwell, in which Epstein suggested offering a reward to anyone who could disprove claims made by Virginia Giuffre regarding Hawking’s involvement in an “underage orgy.”
At the time of Hawking’s visit in 2006, Epstein had not yet been charged with any sexual offenses.

Previously surfaced images from that trip showed the cosmologist attending a barbecue and participating in a submarine tour of the seabed. The documents resurface following the 2025 suicide of Virginia Giuffre, a prominent figure in the legal battles surrounding Epstein’s associates.
