David Oyedeji Adediwura, a Nigerian national residing in the United Kingdom, was identified among the three fatalities resulting from a fatal road accident in Wheathampstead, Hertfordshire. The incident occurred on July 22 at approximately 9:38 p.m. on Cory Wright Way, involving a silver Vauxhall Astra and a grey BMW 840i.
Hertfordshire Police confirmed that all three occupants of the Vauxhall Astra, aged between their 30s and 50s, died at the scene. The driver of the BMW, a man in his 30s, was transported to the hospital with significant injuries. In the wake of this event, former associates of Adediwura from Yodel and DHL have established a GoFundMe initiative to provide financial assistance to his wife and three children. The campaign seeks to collect £10,000 to cover funeral costs and other urgent family needs.
Organizer Iretiayo Oyewole noted that the contributions are intended to alleviate financial strain, allowing the family to mourn and honor Adediwura’s memory. Colleagues remembered him as a generous and dedicated individual whose kindness left a positive impact on the community. Law enforcement authorities are currently investigating the circumstances of the crash and have requested that any witnesses or individuals with relevant dashcam footage contact the police.
