Ten Nations Secure Spots in 2026 World Cup Round of 16

With the United States, England, and Belgium recently clinching their spots, ten teams are now locked into the 2026 World Cup Round of 16 bracket.

A minimum of ten nations have officially advanced to the knockout stages of the 2026 World Cup. The United States, England, and Belgium are the newest additions to this list.

During their 2-0 victory against Bosnia and Herzegovina, Folarin Balogun found the back of the net before receiving a red card. Meanwhile, England overcame an early surprise lead by the DR Congo with two goals from Harry Kane to secure a 2-1 win. Belgium also showcased a spirited comeback, erasing a two-goal deficit against Senegal to triumph 3-2 under manager Rudi Garcia.

The upcoming knockout schedule features England against Mexico, while the United States will compete against Belgium. Other confirmed participants in the Round of 16 include France, Brazil, Norway, Morocco, Paraguay, Canada, and Mexico.
