The ministry initially demanded an explanation from a high-ranking Ukrainian official, labeling the act a violation of international law as defined by the UN Charter. Furthermore, Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi engaged with the European Union’s foreign policy chief to request that both the United Nations Security Council and the global community address the aggression.
The ministry has shifted its tone from simple condemnation to a formal warning, describing Ukraine’s current posture as hostile. This incident arrives while Iran faces significant economic strain due to an ongoing US maritime blockade.
