Tambuwal Asserts ADC Membership Requires Political Bravery

Former Sokoto Governor Aminu Waziri Tambuwal claims the ADC is a home for selfless politicians while criticizing the APC’s record on security and political intimidation.

Aminu Waziri Tambuwal, the former Governor of Sokoto State, stated that the African Democratic Congress (ADC) is intended for politicians who prioritize public service over individual gain. Tambuwal shared these views on Wednesday while welcoming Isa Salihu Kalenjeni, the former Tangaza Local Government Area Chairman, into the ADC following his departure from the All Progressives Congress (APC).

He encouraged leaders driven by altruism to join the ADC, regardless of external intimidation. Tambuwal claimed that the ruling APC is actively trying to suppress dissent and create fractures within the ADC, which he characterized as the ruling party’s primary political threat. Furthermore, he faulted President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for the nation’s ongoing security challenges, noting that widespread public dissatisfaction with the APC stems from these conditions.

Addressing the arrival of Kalenjeni, Tambuwal lauded the former official for his unconditional move to the ADC, viewing it as a notable sacrifice for the party’s core values.
