Swansea City has officially acquired New Zealand winger Elijah Just from Motherwell. The 26-year-old athlete, who appeared in every group match for the All Whites during this summer’s World Cup, netted three goals throughout the tournament. Just arrived at Motherwell in 2025 following an extensive period playing in Denmark. During his tenure at Fir Park, he participated in 43 matches, found the back of the net seven times, and earned a nomination for the Premiership player of the year award.
Swansea head coach Vitor Matos highlighted the player’s flexibility as a key asset, noting that his ability to fill multiple roles will integrate well into the squad. Matos expressed satisfaction with the recruitment process, citing Just’s impressive World Cup performance as a primary factor in the decision to sign him. By joining Swansea, Just reunites with national teammate Marko Stamenic and Stephen Welsh, the latter of whom previously played alongside him during a loan stint at Motherwell.
