Sam Amadi, the head of the Abuja School of Social Thought and Politics, has suggested that President Bola Tinubu is displaying a desperate and excessive approach to securing victory in the 2027 presidential race. Amadi expressed concern that if the president faces the possibility of defeat, his administration might react in an extreme manner.
Sharing his views on the social media platform X, Amadi criticized the political framework currently being utilized by the administration. He warned that this sense of urgency and lack of caution risks undermining the foundation of Nigeria’s democratic system, regardless of whether the strategy succeeds or fails. Ultimately, Amadi stated he hopes that nationalistic figures will emerge to protect the country’s stability during potential future turmoil.
