Reverend Ezekiel Dachomo has verified that 27 individuals were laid to rest in a mass burial following a deadly assault on Naridon village in the Kauru Local Government Area of Kaduna State. The violent raid, which took place on July 26, resulted in the deaths of approximately 30 residents.
Reports indicate that the casualties included 21 members of a Catholic church and nine congregants from the Evangelical Church Winning All. On Saturday, 27 of these victims were interred collectively. Expressing deep sorrow, Reverend Dachomo described the heartbreaking scene of the coffins aligned together, noting that families suffered multiple losses, with parents burying children and children burying parents.
Reflecting on the tragedy, the cleric questioned the frequency of such attacks and the loss of innocent lives. He highlighted the profound grief currently affecting Naridon village, where the community continues to mourn the stolen futures of those lost to the violence.
