The Spanish giants hope to secure a fee for the 26-year-old before his contract ends next summer. Last season, the forward contributed 22 goals and 14 assists across 53 appearances for Los Blancos. As contract renewal talks have stalled at the Santiago Bernabeu, Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta views the player as a key addition to strengthen the team’s left side.
According to the outlet SPORT, Arsenal would need to exceed the current British transfer record of £125 million to sign him. While Real Madrid manager Jose Mourinho has publicly stated his desire for the Brazilian to remain in Spain, the club may require additional capital. Reports suggest Real Madrid is eyeing a £102 million transfer for RB Leipzig winger Yan Diomande, a move that could potentially facilitate the departure of Vinicius Junior to the Emirates Stadium.
