On July 13, President Bola Tinubu is set to launch a collection of tributes titled “Tributes and Condolences in Honour of Muhammadu Buhari.” This presentation coincides with the first anniversary of the former president’s passing. Boss Mustapha, the former Secretary to the Government of the Federation and lead organizer for the memorial events, announced the plans during a Wednesday briefing in Abuja.
The event is designed to feature interfaith and interdenominational prayers, highlighting the principles of unity and national integrity that defined Buhari’s career. The program will host family members, associates, and government officials to reflect on the late leader’s life. Former colleagues will also share personal accounts of their time working with him to illustrate his historical impact.
Mustapha confirmed that the book serves as a commemorative project rather than a commercial product, as it will be distributed at no cost. The memorial aims to provide solace to those who knew him and to celebrate his service to Nigeria. Organizers are encouraging the public to participate in personal or collective prayers across various places of worship to mark the occasion.
