President Bola Tinubu has formally denounced the violent raid on Naridon Village in Kaduna State, instructing national security forces to capture the culprits and recover the missing victims. This violent incident took place early Monday morning within Kamaru Ward, located in the Kauru Local Government Area. Reports indicate that approximately 30 individuals, including numerous women and minors, lost their lives while multiple residences were incinerated.
Through a statement released Tuesday by spokesperson Bayo Onanuga, the President labeled the assault a cowardly and brutal act of terrorism directed at vulnerable civilians. Tinubu has commanded the military, police, and intelligence services to expand their presence throughout the region to identify the attackers, free the captives, and stabilize the area.
Emphasizing that the perpetrators will face legal consequences, the President stated that efforts to destabilize Kaduna will fail. He offered his condolences to the bereaved families, Governor Uba Sani, and the wider population of the state. Promising ongoing federal backing, Tinubu highlighted his administration’s focus on bolstering security assets and dismantling criminal organizations. Furthermore, he encouraged local residents to assist authorities by reporting suspicious activities to improve future response times.
