Akeem Amosun, the Federal Commissioner for Ogun State at the Revenue Mobilisation Allocation and Fiscal Commission, is pushing for party solidarity for the upcoming All Progressives Congress senatorial primary in Ogun Central. The primary, set for May 18, 2026, focuses on securing victory for Senator Salisu Afolabi.
During a gathering at his home in Abeokuta on Monday, Amosun hosted a variety of local leaders, youth groups, and party members. He encouraged all APC supporters within the Ogun Central Senatorial District to participate peacefully in the election and show firm support for Afolabi. Amosun emphasized that the party’s success depends on the same level of discipline and loyalty previously shown toward Hon. Afolabi Afuape.
Amosun characterized Senator Salisu Afolabi as an experienced candidate capable of representing the district effectively in the Senate. He urged participants to conduct themselves with decorum to ensure the primary proceeds without disruption. Attendees expressed strong support for the candidate, noting that the event demonstrated a unified front for the party heading into the contest.
