Nyesom Wike Declares Super Eagles Pardoned Regarding World Cup Ambitions

FCT Minister Nyesom Wike confirmed that the Super Eagles have been forgiven following assurances from Joseph Yobo that the team is dedicated to qualifying for the next World Cup.

FCT Minister Nyesom Wike stated on Friday that the Super Eagles have been officially forgiven for past failures. The minister revealed that former team captain Joseph Yobo reached out to him, confirming that the current squad has pledged to secure a spot in the upcoming World Cup.

Wike shared these remarks while inaugurating the Collector Roads 01 and 02, which connect the Mabushi Bus Terminal to Ahmadu Bello Way in the FCT. During the event, he acknowledged the presence of football legends Joseph Yobo and Emmanuel Babayaro.

Highlighting the conversation with Yobo, Wike noted that the team promised that their recent lapses will not be repeated. According to the minister, the players are fully committed to ensuring Nigeria qualifies for the next World Cup tournament.
