FCT Minister Nyesom Wike recently declared himself the most veteran politician currently active in Rivers State. He made these remarks during a media session in Port Harcourt this past Saturday while addressing Governor Siminalayi Fubara’s recent reconciliation with his political camp.
Wike criticized figures he believes manipulated the governor into a confrontation, claiming these individuals offer no value to the progress of the region. Having served as the state’s governor himself, Wike asserted that no other active politician possesses his level of experience. He emphasized that since the dawn of the current democratic era in 1999, he remains the most established political operator in the state.
Previously, the Minister had leveled accusations against four specific politicians, alleging they were responsible for misleading the governor during the ongoing political tensions that have affected the state since 2023.
