Zambia coach Nora Häuptle remains confident her team can defeat the Super Falcons as they aim for a WAFCON 2026 quarter-final spot.

Zambia’s head coach, Nora Häuptle, stated that her squad is determined to secure a victory against the Nigerian Super Falcons, according to reports from DAILY POST. The Copper Queens are aiming for a spot in the WAFCON 2026 quarter-finals as they prepare to face the reigning champions in Rabat this Saturday.

Häuptle’s team began the tournament with a dominant 6-0 win over Egypt’s Cleopatras. Zambia previously suffered a 5-0 defeat to Nigeria in the quarter-finals of the prior tournament. Despite Nigeria’s status, the coach emphasized that her side will not settle for a draw. Häuptle noted that they consistently play to win, adding that the team gained valuable experience from their previous loss and demonstrated tactical flexibility in their recent victory that could pose a challenge to the Super Falcons.
