“No Doctor Attended Us For Over Two Hours” — Nigerian Woman Shares How Her 2-Month-Old Daughter Died In Kano Hospital
A Nigerian woman, Abdulazeez Hope Maryam, shared a heartbreaking story on Facebook about how her 2-month-old daughter died in a Kano hospital due to the absence of doctors. She rushed her baby to the hospital’s emergency department on May 14, 2025, but waited over two hours without any medical attention. Before she could seek help elsewhere, her baby tragically passed away.
“When people say may Nigeria never happen to you I never really understood what they meant until I rushed my daughter to Nassarawa Hospital Kano state in the emergency department for more than two hours no doctor to attend to us and before I could leave there to another hospital I lost my precious daughter. Ahhhhh,” she wrote.“My tiny angel, though your time with me was short, your impact on my life will be felt forever. In just two months, you stole my heart with your sweet smiles and gentle coos. Your brief life touched my soul in ways I will cherish always. Rest peacefully, little one, and shine brightly among the stars. I love you more than words can say. HIBATULLAH.”
