NNPCL recorded a profit after tax of N535 billion in June 2026 on revenues of N4.389 trillion, alongside updates on gas production and key infrastructure projects.

The Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited, NNPCL, has published its financial report for June 2026. Data shared on the company’s X platform this Friday reveals a profit after tax of N535 billion for the month. This figure marks a 15.8 percent climb from the N462 billion profit seen in May.

This performance was achieved on the back of N4.389 trillion in total revenue. From January through June 2026, the firm contributed a cumulative total of N6.286 trillion in statutory payments to the Federation, highlighting its role in supporting the national treasury. Production of crude oil and condensate fell slightly to 1.72 million barrels per day, down from 1.73 million barrels per day in May. The company cited facility maintenance, operational hurdles, and subsurface complications as primary drivers for the drop.

Conversely, natural gas production grew by 0.86 percent, moving from 7.774 million standard cubic feet per day in May to 7.841 million standard cubic feet per day. Infrastructure development continues, with the Obiafu-Obrikom-Oben gas pipeline reaching 98 percent completion ahead of an August 2026 gas delivery target. Similarly, the Ajaokuta-Kaduna-Kano gas pipeline has reached 94 percent completion, keeping the project on track to supply gas to Abuja this year.
