Chibuchi David Francis, a 12-year-old actor from Nigeria, earned a bronze medal in the 11-12 age bracket for acting at the 2026 World Championships of Performing Arts (WCOPA). The competition took place between July 13 and 21 at the Westgate Las Vegas Resort & Casino, drawing participants from over 80 nations to compete in disciplines including acting, dance, singing, and modeling.
Representing Team Nigeria, Chibuchi performed under the guidance of Ambassador Lovethpatra White Ekufu, who serves as both the National Director of WCOPA Team Nigeria and the founder of Street2Fame Nigeria Performing Arts Entertainment. The organization sponsored his travel to the United States as part of a broader effort to provide gifted local youth with exposure to international stages.
Ekufu praised the win as an indication that Nigerian youth are capable of reaching the highest levels of achievement with proper support and mentorship. She highlighted her organization’s ongoing focus on fostering creative potential through training and global competition. Moving forward, Street2Fame aims to build a national framework for talent development, including localized competitions and plans to create additional career pathways through future continental championships.
