The Nigerian Super Eagles may soon play a friendly match against the Kosovo national team. This possibility was revealed by Glauk Konjufca, Kosovo’s Deputy Prime Minister, during his Friday meeting with Bukola Olopade, the Director General of the National Sports Commission.
Konjufca stated that his nation is interested in organizing a match between the two countries. Furthermore, he proposed collaborative efforts to improve Judo training, citing Kosovo’s successful history of producing Olympic and world champions in the sport. If finalized, this would mark the inaugural encounter between Nigeria and the European side.
Kosovo recently competed in the European playoffs for the 2026 FIFA World Cup, narrowly falling to Turkey. The team, coached by Franco Foda, enters this potential matchup following a recent 3-0 victory over Andorra in an exhibition game.
