Nicki Minaj To Address UN On Alleged Christian Genocide In Nigeria
Nicki Minaj is set to take the spotlight at a United Nations event in New York on Tuesday, November 18, where she’ll join U.S. Ambassador Michael Waltz and Trump adviser Alex Bruesewitz to discuss what organizers describe as the ongoing persecution of Christians in Nigeria.
The gathering aims to draw global attention to claims of widespread attacks against Christian communities concerns echoed by the Christian Association of Nigeria and the Pentecostal Fellowship of Nigeria, both of which have labeled the situation a genocide.
In the lead-up to the event, Trump administration officials praised Minaj for using her influence to amplify the issue. Waltz described her as a powerhouse artist with the courage to speak against injustice, saying he looks forward to outlining the steps being taken to “end the persecution of our Christian brothers and sisters.”
Minaj, in turn, expressed gratitude for the platform, calling the opportunity “bigger than you know” and pledging that she and her fan base “will never stand down in the face of injustice.”
