The 38-year-old German, formerly a player for the Germany Under-21 squad, transitions to the English Premier League after managing Saudi Pro League team Al-Ahli.
Jaissle expressed his enthusiasm regarding the position, noting the significant history and ambition of the Newcastle organization. His resume includes successful stints leading Red Bull Salzburg to consecutive league titles and capturing AFC Champions League trophies with Al-Ahli. Jaissle’s own professional playing career was cut short at age 25 due to injuries.
The club enters this new chapter after five years under Eddie Howe. Howe is credited with leading the team to a League Cup victory in 2025 and multiple Champions League qualifications. However, recent challenges, including a 12th-place finish last season and the high-profile exits of players like Sandro Tonali and Anthony Gordon, signaled a period of transition.
