Ndume – “If One Compares The Current Government To That Of Buhari, Buhari Gets A Thumbs Up”
Senator Ali Ndume says former President Buhari would get a thumps up if one compares his administration with the current Bola Tinubu-led government.
While speaking on Arise TV, Ndume who is the Chief Whip in the Senate said unlike President Tinubu who ‘doesn’t get to see even some of his Ministers,” Buhari granted people access to him.
In his words, he said
‘’During the Buhari administration which I thought was not that good, if you compare this now to Buhari’s regime, you would give Buhari and thump’s up because at least he opens up, people come to see him. There are some Ministers who do not have access to Mr President. The only access they have is when they are invited and some may not be invited or when they go for council meeting and you know when they go for council meeting, by the time the President goes in, all of them are sitted and the President is the first person to leave.
Obasanjo during his government, if any Senator wants to see him, nobody will ask what do you want to see the President for. He makes sure within 24 hours, any Senator has access to him, Ministers go in and out. Obasanjo was older than our President.
That is politics. You talk to the people, hear from the people but now to me, it seems besides shielding Mr President, they always give him assurance that everything is alright out there and that is not the case”
