Nationwide Enforcement of Tinted Glass Permits to Begin October 2
The Jigawa State Police Command has announced that nationwide enforcement of tinted glass permits will begin on October 2, 2025.
Command spokesperson SP Shi’isu Adam disclosed this in Dutse on Saturday, September 20, urging motorists to register through possap.gov.ng. Applicants must create an account using their NIN, BVN, or TIN, verify their email, select the “Tinted Glass Permit” service, and upload vehicle details and supporting documents.
Adam said applicants will be scheduled for vehicle inspection and biometric fingerprint capturing at designated Police Intelligence Departments, with the service provided free of charge in Jigawa at the State Intelligence Department, Police Headquarters, Dutse.
He warned against using middlemen and advised prompt registration ahead of the enforcement date, stressing that non-compliance could attract legal consequences.
