It has been officially confirmed that the Duchess of Sussex will not attend any public engagements during Prince Harry’s current trip to the United Kingdom. Although there was prior uncertainty regarding her schedule, it is now clear she will not appear at the events linked to the Invictus Games.
Initial reports previously stated that Meghan, along with their children Archie and Lilibet, would stay behind due to ongoing disagreements concerning security arrangements. While some had hoped she might join later activities, such as a Friday gathering at the NEC in Birmingham, those plans have been dismissed.
It remains unclear if Meghan will travel to the UK for any unpublicized visits. While her representatives have offered no statements regarding potential private family meetings, the possibility of a reunion with King Charles remains speculative. The trip was originally meant to highlight the upcoming Invictus Games, set to take place in Birmingham next year for injured military personnel.
This development marks yet another shift in a complex trip. Two weeks ago, organizers indicated Meghan would make her first UK public appearance since 2022 in both London and Birmingham. However, security concerns led to the cancellation of her London appearances, and those later events have now also been removed from her schedule.
