Meghan and Children to Miss Prince Harry’s Upcoming UK Visit

Prince Harry will travel to London solo for the Invictus Games countdown, as Meghan and their children will not join him due to unresolved disputes over taxpayer-funded security arrangements.

Prince Harry is set to travel to London alone next week, as it is understood that the Duchess of Sussex and their two children, Archie and Lilibet, will not accompany him. The family had previously planned to travel together, but those plans were scrapped following confirmation that the group would not receive police protection funded by taxpayers during their stay.

While the initial London portion of the trip will be attended by Harry solo, there remains a chance the family could join him later in the week when his schedule shifts to the Midlands. The Duke is visiting the UK for five days to celebrate the one-year mark until the Invictus Games begin in Birmingham.

Previously, Prince Harry noted that he felt unable to bring his wife and children to the UK without enhanced security measures in place. This concern stems from the decisions made by the Royal and VIP Executive Committee, which manages security for public figures and senior royals. Although the couple were offered a stay at a royal residence last month, the unresolved status of their security has kept the family from returning together. Harry and Meghan have not visited the UK together since the funeral of Queen Elizabeth II in 2022.
