Nollywood performer Maureen Okpoko recently shared her personal struggle, announcing that she has lived with blindness for the last four years. Through a video message, she reached out to the public, bloggers, and her peers in the film industry to request help.
Okpoko stated that she requires funding for additional medical procedures. Along with financial aid, she requested prayers and supportive messages from those willing to assist. She specifically mentioned figures like Tunde Ednut and VDM in her plea for intervention.
This public appeal follows a similar request made by actor and musician Harry B. Anyanwu. After visiting with Okpoko in Enugu, Anyanwu used his own social media presence to encourage the public and members of the Nigerian entertainment industry to contribute toward her treatment. He highlighted his close connection to the actress and urged others to rally together to help her restore her sight.
