Manchester United are on the verge of completing a move for Brazilian star Matheus Cunha from Wolves.
As reported by Mail Sport, United will need to trigger Cunha’s £62.5 million release clause to finalize the transfer.
Ruben Amorim, Wolves’ manager, has already made strides in the negotiations, having spoken with Cunha, 25. The two were reportedly seen chatting at Molineux and later at Old Trafford when Wolves defeated United 1-0 over the weekend.
While United are making progress on securing Cunha, they have yet to activate the release clause.
Newcastle United are also set to compete for Cunha’s signature, with manager Eddie Howe reportedly planning to use the forward as a support option for Alexander Isak on the left side.
Amorim is also eyeing Ipswich star Liam Delap. The young forward, who has netted 12 goals in his debut Premier League season, will be available for a bargain £30 million should Ipswich face relegation.
