Makinde Set to Crown New Oyo Monarch on June 28
Oyo State Governor, Seyi Makinde, will officially coronate Prince Adebayo Adegbola as the new Eleruwa of Eruwa on Saturday, June 28, 2025, according to a government announcement made Monday in Ibadan.
State Commissioner for Information and Orientation, Dotun Oyelade, said the coronation has been confirmed by the Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Matters, Ademola Ojo.
Oyelade emphasized that the appointment signifies a renewed commitment to preserving Eruwa’s cultural identity and promoting unity among its people. He added that the event isn’t just ceremonial but also a symbol of the community’s collective pride and hope for sustained progress.
