LeBron Opens Up On Growing Distance As Bronny Builds His Own Life

LeBron James pulled back the curtain on fatherhood after his 2025 season debut a night where he delivered a strong double-double in the Lakers’ 140–126 win over the Utah Jazz.

Speaking after the game, the NBA icon admitted that the rhythm of his relationship with his eldest son, Bronny, has quietly shifted since the 21-year-old moved into his own home.

“He’s not a resident anymore, so we don’t talk as much. He has his own place. But he’s great,” LeBron said, letting the honesty hang in the air like a long exhale.

He described the experience as both surreal and gratifying watching his son grow into adulthood while still finding his footing in the league. “It’s been great to see and to watch. And he’s still young… still learning and getting better with each and every rep.”

Bronny has featured in 10 games so far this season, averaging 11.1 minutes, 2.1 points, 0.9 rebounds, and 1.8 assists modest numbers, but enough to trace the outline of a young player carving out his own story.
