Who thinks that the music in the 80s was better than today’s?

Of course “better” is subjective, but I will say this. There was more freedom, and risk involved in music making from around 1978 up to at least 1989. Certainly in the case of the kind of music that used to go in the top 40 around the world.

There are so many lessons I wish I had learned while I was young enough to appreciate and apply them. The thing with wisdom, and often with life lessons in general, is that they’re learned in retrospect, long after we needed them. The good news is that other people can benefit from our experiences and the lessons we’ve learned.
