King Charles honors UK-US ties during America’s 250th anniversary

As the United States marks 250 years of independence, King Charles has issued a message celebrating the longstanding friendship and shared values between the UK and the US.

King Charles has praised the enduring bond between the United Kingdom and the United States as the American nation marks two and a half centuries since the Declaration of Independence. Signed in 1776, this historic document signaled the formal separation of the colonies from British rule.

In a formal message addressed to President Donald Trump and the American people, the King underscored a legacy of collective hurdles and successes. He noted that both nations are anchored by a mutual dedication to liberty, the rule of law, and the fundamental value of all individuals. Expressing optimism for the future, the King stated he is confident that both countries will continue to uphold these shared principles over the next 250 years.

President Trump is scheduled to participate in various commemorative events in Washington DC, which include a significant aerial display and a massive fireworks exhibition described by the president as the largest in history. Meanwhile, nationwide festivities are underway, including a concert in Philadelphia featuring artists such as Christina Aguilera and Meek Mill, as well as unique celebrations in New York City.
