Iran Launches Missile and Drone Strikes Against US Bases in Kuwait and Bahrain

Iran’s IRGC attacked US military installations in Kuwait and Bahrain using missiles and drones, marking a direct escalation following US strikes on Iranian assets.

The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) of Iran reported conducting missile and drone strikes against American military sites located in Kuwait and Bahrain. This military action serves as a direct retaliation for recent US operations targeting Iran.

Iranian state news outlets quoted the IRGC stating that the American actions breached a ceasefire agreement, which will now lead to a total suspension of diplomatic efforts. In response to the incoming threats, the Kuwaiti military confirmed that its air defense systems were actively intercepting projectiles during the early hours of Sunday.

Simultaneously, the Interior Ministry of Bahrain issued an alert via social media, activating warning sirens and instructing citizens to seek shelter immediately. These developments follow a Saturday announcement from US Central Command (CENTCOM). CENTCOM reported that American aircraft had engaged Iranian surveillance, communication, and air defense assets, as well as drone and minelaying equipment, citing previous Iranian attacks on merchant vessels as the justification for the strike.
