Lady Chinyere Ekomaru, Imo State’s Deputy Governor, praised OneDosh for organizing the Unity Cup, a sports initiative aimed at promoting youth development and community spirit among tertiary students.

Lady Chinyere Ekomaru, PhD, the Deputy Governor of Imo State, recently lauded OneDosh for fostering youth growth by sponsoring the first-ever OneDosh Imo State Unity Cup. Standing in for Governor Hope Uzodinma at the Owerri-based Dan Anyiam Stadium, Ekomaru commended the players for their sportsmanship and the organizers for launching a meaningful outlet for students.

Speaking on behalf of the Governor, she expressed gratitude to the competing schools for their dedication and for channeling their vitality into productive athletics. Following the victory of Imo State University (IMSU) in the tournament, the Deputy Governor urged students to leverage sports as a means of building discipline, unity, and self-improvement.

The competition spanned one month and featured eight higher learning institutions throughout the state. As the lead sponsor, OneDosh utilized the event to connect with the student body through hands-on brand activations and community outreach, highlighting their focus on youth support beyond banking.

This initiative highlights the potential for public-private partnerships to create impactful opportunities for young people. OneDosh operates as an international financial service provider, offering tools such as virtual accounts, stablecoin wallets, and global payment cards to assist users in managing money across borders.
