Benue State Governor, Rev. Fr. Hyacinth Alia, has selected Dr. Anya Godwin Ngbajime to serve on the Benue State House of Assembly Service Commission. This appointment awaits official confirmation by the state legislature. The position became available following the dismissal of Dorcas Faeren Mbatiav.
Dr. Ngbajime brings an extensive background in administration and public service to the role. He holds a Ph.D. in Educational Administration and Planning, as well as a degree in Technical Education. His career includes significant tenure within the Benue State Civil Service, where he served as Chairman of the Civil Service Commission from 2007 to 2015. Additionally, he held leadership roles as the state chairman for both the Nigeria Union of Teachers and the Nigeria Labour Congress.
Governor Alia stated that he expects Ngbajime’s professional history and integrity to improve the commission’s operational success. Tersoo Kula, the Chief Press Secretary to the Governor, confirmed that the formal request for appointment approval has been submitted to the House of Assembly. Dr. Ngbajime is a native of Mbaivende in the Ushongo Local Government Area.
