Ben Sandilands achieved a gold medal in the men’s T20 1500m, finishing with a swift time of 3:57.20. His teammate Steven Bryce secured the bronze, following just behind Canada’s Michael Barber. In the women’s 10,000m, Megan Keith represented Scotland alone, placing ninth with a time of 32:22.11.
Canadian athlete Ethan Katzberg impressed the stadium with a record-breaking hammer throw of 80.97m. Conversely, Scottish thrower Chris Bennett drew massive support during his final competition, finishing in fifth place at 69.48m and marking the end of his extensive career.
Other notable performances included Alexander Thomson in the T38 100m, while Gemma Reekie and Erin Wallace successfully advanced to the 800m semi-finals. Additionally, Stephen Mackenzie qualified for the long jump final, and Angela McAuslan-Kelly secured her spot in the women’s hammer final.
