Galatasaray midfielder Gabriel Sara has playfully dubbed his teammate, Nigerian striker Victor Osimhen, his biggest enemy. Despite the teasing, Sara highlighted the deep bond the pair has formed as they prepare for the 2026/2027 campaign.
Since moving from Napoli to the Turkish club, first on loan and later via a permanent transfer, Osimhen has become a cornerstone of the squad. The forward has been prolific at Rams Park, recording 59 goals and 16 assists across 74 appearances. His contributions have been vital to Galatasaray securing back-to-back Super Lig titles and a domestic cup, cementing his status as a team leader.
Speaking with Le Marca Sports, Sara explained that their dynamic is defined by constant humor and mutual respect. He noted that while he pretends to be annoyed by his friend during training, it is all in good fun. The competitive energy between the two players serves to strengthen their connection off the pitch.
Osimhen is currently working to regain his peak physical condition ahead of the new season. After featuring in a recent pre-season defeat to Venezia, the striker is looking to find his scoring form once again in an upcoming exhibition match against Villarreal.
