FRSC Launches 2026 Recruitment Drive: Application Details and Guidelines

The FRSC has opened its 2026 recruitment portal for various roles, emphasizing that the application process is completely free and warning against potential job scams.

The Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) has officially started its 2026 recruitment process. Qualified Nigerians can now apply for various positions across different levels of the organization. The portal for online submissions will be active starting July 3, 2026, and will accept applications for a duration of four weeks. This announcement, dated June 24, was authorized by Deputy Corps Marshal Pauline Olaye, who leads the Administration and Human Resources department.

The agency has clearly stated that the entire application process is free of charge, explicitly cautioning the public against any individuals demanding payment for employment. Candidates are expected to register using their own email addresses and mobile numbers. It is mandatory for those who get shortlisted to bring printed copies of their registration forms to the subsequent screening phase.

There are three main categories for recruitment: the Officer Cadre, the Marshal Inspectorate Cadre, and the Road Marshal Assistant Cadre. The Officer Cadre includes roles such as Superintendent Route Commanders and Assistant Route Commanders, requiring relevant degrees like B.Sc., BA, or HND, and in some cases, professional medical or legal qualifications. Candidates for this group generally must be between 18 and 35 years old. The Inspectorate Cadre is available to those with NCE, OND, or nursing certifications, typically for individuals aged 18 to 30. The Road Marshal Assistant Cadre requires a minimum of three credits in the SSCE, including English and Mathematics.

The corps is also seeking skilled workers and artisans, such as mechanics, electricians, and drivers, who must hold necessary trade certifications and valid licenses. Drivers operating heavy-duty vehicles should be aged between 26 and 40. General eligibility criteria state that all applicants must be Nigerian citizens by birth, maintain good physical health, be computer literate, and possess a clean criminal record. Additionally, candidates must be single, free from financial debt, and have no tattoos. Height requirements are set at 1.65 meters for men and 1.58 meters for women, and the corps has advised pregnant women against participating. For additional inquiries, the public can reach the agency via the 122 emergency hotline.
