Frank Edoho Explains Reason for Cancellation of Who Wants to be a Millionaire

Frank Edoho explains that the cancellation of Who Wants to be a Millionaire was triggered by the withdrawal of its long-term sponsor following a massive federal fine.

Renowned Nigerian broadcaster Frank Edoho has shed light on the circumstances that led to the termination of the famous quiz series, Who Wants to be a Millionaire. During an appearance on the KK Show, Edoho detailed that the show’s primary benefactor decided to pull its funding after ten years of collaboration.

The decision followed a massive financial penalty levied against the sponsoring corporation by the Federal Government. Edoho noted that the unexpected government fine placed an immense strain on the company’s finances, making it impossible to maintain their commitment to the television production. According to the host, the sponsor reached out to the production crew to confirm they could no longer support the show due to the staggering amount owed to federal authorities.
