Gabrielle Carrington, a former participant in the X Factor live finals, has entered a plea of not guilty regarding the murder of social media personality Klaudia Zakrzewska. The charges stem from an incident on 19 April at approximately 04:30 BST, where Zakrzewska was struck by a vehicle outside the Inca nightclub in Soho, London.
Carrington, a 29-year-old from Manchester, was initially accused of attempted murder. This charge was upgraded to murder following the death of Zakrzewska six days after the collision. Carrington, who gained recognition as part of the group Miss Dynamix during the 2013 X Factor competition, appeared at the Old Bailey via a video connection from Bronzefield prison.
The presiding judge, Judge Whitehouse, scheduled the trial to commence at the Old Bailey on 5 January. During the hearing, it was noted that Carrington maintains a significant online presence, while the victim was a well-known creator on TikTok and Instagram under the name Klaudiaglam.
