Five Potential Signings Arsenal May Target Before the Week Concludes

Arsenal continues its summer recruitment drive with sights set on Bruno Guimaraes, Vinicius Jr, Bradley Barcola, Ezri Konsa, and a veteran free agent defender.

Arsenal entered the summer with expectations of defending their Premier League title by adding several star players to their roster. Following a loss to Paris Saint-Germain in the Champions League final this past May, manager Mikel Arteta voiced his ambition to elevate the team to a new tier of performance.

While the club has successfully added Piero Hincapie permanently, acquired Illan Meslier, and secured a deal for Christos Tzolis, they remain active in the market. According to reporting from football.london, several key targets are currently on the radar.

The club is actively pursuing Newcastle United midfielder Bruno Guimaraes, as the 28-year-old has expressed a clear preference for a move to the Emirates Stadium. Additionally, Arsenal is monitoring Vinicius Jr from Real Madrid, although the Spanish club is currently hesitant to release the 26-year-old winger.

Arteta is also looking to improve his attacking options by considering Bradley Barcola of Paris Saint-Germain. The 23-year-old winger has two years remaining on his contract in France. Defensively, Arsenal maintains an interest in Aston Villa’s Ezri Konsa, though there is a significant gap between Villa’s £50m asking price and Arsenal’s current valuation.

Finally, a 32-year-old defender who departed Manchester City last season remains a target. Currently a free agent, this player showcased his continued fitness and high-level capability during his recent World Cup appearances for England.
