Nigerian musician Folarin Falana, widely recognized as ‘Falz,’ has clarified that he has not endorsed Peter Obi, the presidential candidate of the Nigeria Democratic Congress, or any other political figure. He addressed these claims during a Tuesday appearance on the Arise Television show ‘Prime Time.’
While urging Nigerians and the youth population to participate in upcoming general elections, Falana emphasized his neutral stance. He stated that he has never publicly backed a specific party or politician, preferring instead to promote the general importance of voting. His primary objective is to see a transparent and equitable democratic process take root in the country.
Reflecting on the state of national leadership, Falana expressed frustration with the recurring cycle of political figures, noting that the constant rotation of the same individuals makes it difficult to trust or vouch for any politician. He stressed that strengthening the nation’s democracy remains his main priority.
