Exclusive Footage Shows Diddy’s Violent Altercation with Ex-Girlfriend Cassie Ventura
LOS ANGELES — Disturbing surveillance footage of Sean “Diddy” Combs violently attacking his then-girlfriend Cassie Ventura in a 2016 hotel incident was shown in court this week, exposing new details about their tumultuous relationship.
The unedited video, played publicly for the first time, captures Combs wearing only a towel and socks, dragging Ventura down a hallway by her hoodie, slamming her to the ground, and kicking her while she lies motionless near an elevator. The silent footage left the courtroom in stunned silence.
Ventura, now 38, testified that she endured years of abuse and manipulation during their decade-long relationship. She described being coerced into participating in Combs’ so-called “Freak Off” parties multi-day sex gatherings involving male escorts under threat of blackmail. According to her testimony, Combs allegedly recorded these encounters and warned he would release the footage if she refused to comply.
The case took a dramatic turn when hotel security guard Israel Florez took the stand, recounting how he responded to reports of a woman in distress that night. Florez testified that after witnessing the aftermath, he discreetly recorded the surveillance footage on his phone, fearing the incident would be covered up.
“You take care of this, I got you,”** Florez recalled Combs offering as a bribe while still clad in a towel.
The guard refused, insisting on proper conduct for all guests. His written report and photos of the scene were submitted as key evidence.
Ventura painted a picture of relentless control, alleging Combs dictated every aspect of her life from her career to her personal freedoms and used intimidation tactics, including leaving firearms around their homes. The trial continues as prosecutors build their case against the embattled music mogul.
The footage and testimony have reignited scrutiny over Combs’ behavior, with legal experts noting the potential for enhanced charges given the severity of the allegations.
“He would stomp me in the head if I was down,” she said, describing repeated beatings that left her eyes bloodshot.
The court also heard that Combs allegedly paid the hotel $50,000 to obtain the original surveillance footage. Just two days after the incident, he and Cassie appeared in public, holding hands at a film premiere. Ventura, who is now eight-and-a-half months pregnant with her third child, took the stand despite objections from Combs’ legal team, who argued her pregnancy might sway the jury. The judge allowed her testimony to proceed.
Describing her first “Freak Off,” Ventura said she was manipulated into participating.
“I didn’t feel I had much of a choice,”
she said, adding that Combs warned her not to make him angry. She testified that she was “completely sexually inexperienced”
when their relationship began and felt coerced into repeated encounters with strangers while Combs watched.
“Over time, there were blackmail materials to make me feel like if I didn’t do it, it would be hung over my head,” she said.
The “Freak Offs” could last up to four days, involving drugs, alcohol, and multiple sexual encounters. Cassie described the aftermath as leaving her emotionally shattered. “I felt disgusted. I was humiliated. I felt like it was all I was good for.”
Ventura testified that Combs publicly pretended to be monogamous while controlling her behind the scenes. Prosecutors allege Combs ran a sex trafficking operation—charges that could mean life in prison. Combs’ defense maintains all encounters were consensual and “kinky,” not criminal.
The jury must decide: Was this abuse and trafficking, or private lifestyle choices?
