Troops belonging to Sector 6 of Operation Enduring Peace arrived at the scene following a distress notification. Upon arrival, they confirmed the deaths of eight individuals and discovered one wounded survivor. This survivor was quickly transported to the General Hospital in Riyom for urgent medical care, and the deceased were recovered from the location.
In response, military forces initiated search operations throughout the nearby forests and communities to capture the perpetrators.
