The Edo State African Democratic Congress (ADC) has formally declared that it is no longer associated with Kennedy Odion, its former chairman. Current state chairman Tony Alile issued a warning to Odion, instructing him to stop organizing meetings or making public announcements under the party’s banner.
Alile clarified that Odion was removed from the party during the national convention in Abuja on April 14, 2026. Furthermore, the term for the state executive committee he once led finished on May 19, 2026. The party claims that Odion has repeatedly misled the public by using party property and materials without permission, an issue they are addressing through legal avenues.
Odion has dismissed these allegations, characterizing the party’s stance as a display of self-deception. He maintains that he is the legitimate state chairman and suggested that the party leadership is acting out of desperation. He warned that the documents currently being used by the leadership might be considered contempt of court, asserting that his position remains legally intact.
