Donald Trump has officially been inaugurated as the 47th President of the United States, marking his historic return to the White House for a second term.

This unprecedented comeback follows his initial tenure as the 45th president, serving from 2017 to 2021.

The swearing-in ceremony was held inside the Capitol Rotunda, as cold temperatures prevented it from taking place outdoors.

Donald Trump took the oath of office using Abraham Lincoln’s Bible, with Chief Justice John Roberts administering the oath.

“I do solemnly swear (or affirm) that I will faithfully execute the Office of President of the United States, and will to the best of my ability, preserve, protect and defend the Constitution of the United States,” Trump said in his oath.

Before Donald Trump, Vice President J.D. Vance, who served as a U.S. Senator from Ohio from 2023 to 2025, was sworn into office.

The inauguration saw the attendance of several high-profile dignitaries, including Elon Musk, the world’s richest man; Mark Zuckerberg, CEO of Meta; Jeff Bezos, founder of Amazon; and Sundar Pichai, CEO of Google.
