The Delta State College of Nursing Sciences in Agbor has issued a query to a student for posting a TikTok video showing nursing students refusing to acknowledge First Lady Remi Tinubu as their mother.

During the First Lady’s visit to the institution on March 25, the event’s MC was heard referring to Senator Remi Tinubu as “our Mama,” but the students responded by saying “your Mama” instead.

The college has now taken disciplinary action against the student who uploaded the video.

According to a letter circulating online, the nursing college accused the student of committing a “punishable offence.”

The query, signed by the Provost of the college, directed the student to submit a written explanation within 24 hours, justifying why they should not face disciplinary measures.

Nigerians have since taken to social media to react to the development.
