Starting Thursday, August 6, the Dangote Petroleum Refinery implemented a price decrease for both Premium Motor Spirit (PMS) and Automotive Gas Oil, commonly known as diesel. This adjustment highlights the firm’s dedication to supplying cost-effective, premium fuel throughout Nigeria.
In an official announcement, the refinery disclosed that the ex-depot rate for petrol dropped to N1,165 per litre from its previous N1,215, marking a N50 reduction. Diesel prices also saw a decline, moving from N1,650 down to N1,570 per litre, which is a decrease of N80.
These changes are part of the refinery’s strategy to make energy more accessible and bolster local economic performance. By optimizing its internal operations, the facility aims to provide consistent product availability while passing savings on to the public and business sector.
As the largest refinery on the continent, the facility remains essential to Nigeria’s energy independence. It continues to minimize the need for imported fuels and fosters national development by supplying high-standard petroleum goods.
