D4vd Transfers Properties to Mother Amid Ongoing Investigation Into Teen’s Death

American singer D4vd is making notable financial adjustments as authorities continue to probe the suspicious death of a 14-year-old girl found in his Tesla.

TMZ reports that the 20-year-old artist, whose real name is David Anthony Burke, recently transferred ownership of two properties he owns near Houston, Texas, to his mother. The homes were held under the “Thorn Rose Trust,” a name tied to his 2023 EP Petals To Thorns. These transfers reportedly took place just days after law enforcement raided his Hollywood Hills rental home.

The first transfer occurred on September 18, less than a day after police searched the property where the Tesla was parked prior to being impounded. Inside that vehicle, officers discovered the decomposing remains of 14-year-old Celeste Rivas on September 8. Investigators believe she had been dead for weeks before the discovery.

Following the raid, D4vd reportedly ended his $20,000 lease and vacated the Hollywood mansion. Around the same time, his Texas family home was targeted in a swatting incident, in which prank callers falsely claimed a shooting had taken place.

The singer has since cancelled his tour and delayed the release of the deluxe edition of his album Withered. Though D4vd has not publicly commented on the case, his manager Josh Marshall denied involvement after facing accusations online.

“This video is false and the person is misinformed,” Marshall stated on TikTok. “This is the only time I’ll speak on this matter. FOR NOW.”

The Los Angeles Police Department confirmed that several pieces of evidence were seized from the Hollywood property, but the investigation remains ongoing.
