Cristiano Ronaldo Poised to Sign New Two-Year Contract with Al-Nassr
Cristiano Ronaldo is reportedly close to agreeing to a new two-year contract with Saudi Pro League side Al-Nassr.
The Portugal captain’s current deal was due to expire at the end of June, sparking speculation about a potential departure.
Ronaldo had fueled the rumours with a cryptic social media post stating “the chapter is over” following the club’s final game of the season.
However, the five-time Ballon d’Or winner now appears set to extend his stay in Saudi Arabia, reaffirming his commitment to Al-Nassr.
Since joining Al-Nassr in December 2022, Cristiano Ronaldo has netted 99 goals in 111 appearances, including 35 goals last season, earning him the Saudi Pro League Golden Boot.
He made the move to Al-Nassr as a free agent after parting ways with Manchester United following a controversial interview in which he publicly criticized the club.
Al-Nassr are currently without a head coach following the departure of Stefano Pioli on Wednesday.
The former AC Milan and Inter manager, who took charge in September, guided the team to a third-place finish in the Saudi Pro League last season, ending 13 points behind champions Al-Ittihad.
