Craque Neto rebukes Ancelotti for Brazil’s performance and Neymar benching

Corinthians legend Craque Neto has harshly criticized Brazil coach Carlo Ancelotti following a difficult 2-1 World Cup win over Japan.

Former Corinthians icon Craque Neto has voiced strong disapproval regarding coach Carlo Ancelotti’s leadership during Brazil’s recent World Cup encounter against Japan. Although Brazil secured a narrow 2-1 victory to progress to the Round of 16, Neto was deeply dissatisfied with the team’s display and specifically questioned the exclusion of Neymar.

The match in Texas proved difficult for the South American side. Japan took an early lead through Kaishu Sano in the 29th minute. Brazil struggled initially but found their rhythm after the break. Casemiro leveled the score with a header at the 56th minute, and Gabriel Martinelli eventually clinched the win with a dramatic goal in the 95th minute.

Despite the win, Neto was furious that Neymar did not feature. In a social media clip, he accused the staff of dishonesty and questioned why the star was kept on the sidelines during a tight match. Additionally, the former international criticized the work rate of Matheus Cunha and questioned other tactical selections made by the coaching staff. Brazil is now set to face either Norway or the Ivory Coast in the next stage.
